"CB Getting Wild Out West"
Recent news from the Cosca Brown Bucking Bulls would have to include the PBR events out west. Hummer 89W has continued his buck-off streak for the year, the most recent event in Stockton, Ca where Leif Ferri of Willits, Ca bucked off. A week before that Hummer drew the cowboy Reese Cates at the PBR Ford Built Tough event in Reno, and bucked him off. The same for Justin Rieley at the PBR in Lancaster, Ca. Robson Palermo drew Hummer at the Ford Built Tough event in Ontario, and rode him for a score of 85.5. Traveling with 89W Hummer is the young bull #308 Kick Sass. The Versus television crew has changed Kick Sass name to Kick Butt. Either way #308 has had a terrific start to his PBR career. His debut PBR event in Lancaster started out with the highest score of the long round when #308 drew Shane Proctor for a 89.5. His next event was at the PBR event in Hollister at Bolado Park where he bucked off Cody Ibrahimi. At the Ford Built Tough event in Reno 308 drew the cowboy Josh Koshel and bucked him off pretty handily. The last PBR Ford Built Tough event of #308 season was in Ontario where he stole the crowds hearts as he bucked-off Renato Nunes and then mowed down the famous football star Junior Seau. In Sundays performance Valdiron de Oliveira rode Kick Butt for a score of 85.25. season in Ontario. Another group of exceptional young bulls are the two futurity bulls that were entered at Reno. Wild Child #975 ended up 8th out of 21 bulls entered at a very tough field of more seasoned futurity bulls. Spike would have had better scores at the futurity if not for a bad start coming out backwards in the chute. Heathen #229 bucked off Dalleen Mason of Weiser, Idaho at his first PBR event in Stockton. As a whole this nice group of bulls has made their mark while our other young bulls in training are going to rodeos. The original plan was to stay out west to begin the young bulls event careers.
